Sudanese Army Destroys a Rapid Support Forces Fleet in Bara, Inflicting Heavy Losses

Sudanese army forces in North Kordofan State have successfully struck the Rapid Support Forces, destroying approximately 20 combat and armored vehicles in the Bara area, northeast of El Obeid, the state’s capital.
The operation also resulted in the destruction of a large weapons, ammunition, and logistical support depot belonging to the militia, in addition to the deaths of at least 40 members inside the targeted camp.
According to informed military sources, the operation was based on accurate intelligence and continuous field monitoring of the militia’s movements, enabling the army to carry out a surprise and effective attack.
For their part, sources within the Rapid Support Forces reported that the sector leadership in Bara formed an urgent investigation committee headed by Lieutenant Colonel Abdel Karim Susal, under the supervision of Colonel Al-Na’im Abdullah, the sector commander, and including eight other officers.
The committee aims to determine the causes of the heavy losses and the negligence of field commanders. Information indicates a state of tension and confusion within the militia’s ranks, with field commanders trading accusations of negligence and neglect, even reaching the point of accusations of treason and providing secret information to army forces.
This reflects growing internal divisions within the Rapid Support Forces.
This operation is part of a series of military moves undertaken by the Sudanese army to regain control of vital areas in the state and limit the militia’s expansion and its threat to security and stability.
