IGAD Executive Secretary Partakes in Antalya Diplomacy Forum

The Executive Secretary of IGAD, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu participated in Antalya Diplomacy Forum which began on Friday in the Mediterranean city of Antalya (Turkey), with the participation of world leaders, diplomats, and policy experts under the theme “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World”.

Dr. Gebeyehu commended the event, affirming that the Horn of Africa is a region with common values, cultures and aspirations. These links should also form our approach to mediation and conflict resolution, through greater coordination between regional actors and international partners.
He added that he was honored to join a high-level panel discussion on the geopolitical prospects of the Horn of Africa, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, Turkey, an immediate platform for dialogue and diplomatic participation, expressing his deep appreciation to President Erdogan for Turkey’s firm support for our region and its member states.
