Regarding Crimes Committed by the Rapid Support Forces in the Salha area, Khartoum State

Al Jazeera Human Rights Observatory condemns in the strongest terms the heinous crime committed by the Rapid Support Forces in the Salha area of ​​Khartoum State, which resulted in the killing of (31) unarmed civilians, including children, after forcibly abducting them from their homes. This act constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and international conventions relating to the protection of civilians in times of armed conflict.

Based on documented information, this crime is within the context of a recurring pattern of serious violations and systematic war crimes perpetrated by the Rapid Support Forces, amidst a continued policy of impunity.

Accordingly, Al Jazeera Human Rights Observatory:
• Considers this crime a war crime and a flagrant violation of international law.
• Demands that the international community and relevant UN mechanisms start an independent and urgent investigation into this crime.
• Calls for all those responsible and those directly or indirectly involved in it to be held accountable.
