Workshop to update the guidelines of the health promotion in routine vaccination Concludes

The Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) and the Health Promotion Department of the General Administration of Basic Health Care, Pixala, concluded a three-day workshop to update the guidelines for the health promotion component of routine vaccination, which came up with several recommendations.
The workshop recommended approving the updated final guides after securing the amendments, in addition to agreeing on a periodical to update the manuals, and agreeing on a time plan for training at all levels.
In the closing session, the Acting Director of the General Department of Basic Health Care, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Abdullah, stressed the importance of having immunization and health promotion together for the benefit of children to raise awareness and modify many concepts.
The representative of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), Nader Hammad, considered what was done during the three days as an achievement, by authorizing the update of 3 manuals to adapt to the needs of the stage.
UNICEF Representative Habib Ali Habib noted that some evidence was cleared during the three days and noted the need to further intensify routine work.
