Workshop to Overcome Obstacles in Delivering Drug Supply to Health Institutions in the States.

The workshop on access to medical supplies for health facilities in all states concluded today in Port Sudan, with the presence of the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, and the participation of experts, organizations, partners, the National Fund for Medical Supplies, and representatives of the ministries of health in the states.

The Minister affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations supporting the delivery of drug supplies to all states of Sudan and health institutions, noting that all challenges were presented during the workshop, which called for the implementation of its outputs within a period not exceeding the second half of this year. The minister thanked all partners for their efforts and coordination with the ministry.

The workshop dealt with the importance of strengthening the pharmacy system, represented by the National Fund for Drugs and Poisons and the General Administration of Pharmacy, and ensuring the integration of roles to provide services efficiently.

The Executive Director of the National Fund for Medical Supplies, Dr. Sheikh El-Din Abdul Baqi, explained that the two-day workshop focused on addressing challenges and finding solutions to ensure the delivery of medicines to all states.
