Museveni announces his position on the establishment of a parallel government in Sudan

Ugandan President Yuri Museveni announced his refusal to establish a parallel government in Sudanese, and called for dialogue to reach a solution that would end the war.
This came during his meeting with Deputy Head of the Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar, this afternoon, at the Presidential Palace in Entebbe, expressing his desire to visit Sudan.
The meeting dealt with Nairobi’s hosting of the meetings of the rebel militia and its allies, and their signing of the so-called political charter.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in Sudan.
Agar explained to President Museveni the Sudanese government’s vision to end the war and the transitional period, indicating that the way to end the war is clear and is represented in implementing the outcomes of the Jeddah Declaration, ending the occupation of civilian objects and targeting service facilities.
The meeting also discussed the file of ending the suspension of Sudan’s activities in the African Union, which was carried out according to a misreading by the Union’s apparatus at the time.
