Minister of Minerals inaugurates the Sudan Pavilion at the International Mining Exhibition and Conference in Canada

With the attendance of more than twenty-five thousand businessmen, scientists, investors and those interested in the field of mining in the world and more than 60 ministers from different countries, the International Mining Conference and Exhibition known as (PDAC) opened its work in the economic capital of Canada, Toronto. Sudan participated with a delegation headed by the Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abo Namu.
His Excellency inaugurated the Sudan Pavilion at the International Mining Exhibition and Conference in the presence of the Chargé d’Affairs of the Sudanese Embassy in Canada, Dr. Bakhit Dahiya, number of members of the embassy’s diplomatic mission, General Manager of Ariab Mining Company, Engineer Nasr El-Din Al-Hussein, number of Canadian and Sudanese businessmen, companies and officials from the (PDAC) exhibition, besides number of ministers from friendly and sister countries.

In his speech after the opening of the Sudan pavilion, the Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abo Namo, announced the victories of the armed forces, the joint forces, the mobilized forces and all forces to end the militia rebellion, which are among the most important reasons for the success that encouraged Sudan to come to the global forum to display, present and explain its capabilities in the field of mining and investment, and that the people of Sudan have offered their most precious things so thats Sudan remains united.
The Minister of Minerals indicated that the ministry will present its official speech at the global forum during the Mining Exhibition and Conference, explaining the economic and development capabilities, and will sign agreements with a number of companies, and that Sudan is promised many blessings, especially in light of the great determination of its people to get out to safety and move towards development, reconstruction and investment.
For his part, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Sudanese Embassy in Canada, Dr. Bakhit Dahiya, confirmed the strength of Sudanese-Canadian relations.
He described the visit of the Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abo Namo, and the opening of the Sudan Pavilion in Canada as working to enhance economic and investment cooperation with North America, and that Sudan’s participation comes within the framework of its natural role with the international community and to confirm its sovereignty and territorial integrity in light of the current circumstances.

He stressed the strength of Sudan’s relations with its global surroundings, especially in the technical and technological fields
He said that Sudan enjoys enormous wealth in the field of minerals and industrial minerals and that the laws encourage investors to come to Sudan and continue working.
Engineer Nasr El-Din described the mining sector as one of the unique sectors that operate professionally in light of the known conditions in the country, and that there are serious discussions to develop the copper and waste sector in the Arabiya Company, and that there are dialogues taking place with many parties, and the fruit of that will be soon.
Nasr Al-Din Al-Hussein pointed out that the mining sector is working well, and that Sudan’s production of (64) tons of gold in 2024 brings us back to third place in Africa and praised the role of the Canadian Valley of the Horse Company for its participation in the opening ceremony of the Sudan pavilion, as well as the students. Students in Canada and members of the Sudanese community visited the pavilion of Sudan, a number of ministers, officials and investors from all over the world.
