Kuwait despatches the 35th relief plane to Sudan

Port Sudan Airport, received, today (Thursday), a Kuwaiti aid plane belonging to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, carrying various food and relief materials and tents
It was received upon arrival by the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Sudan, Dr. Fahd Mashari Al-Dhafiri, the Secretary-General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Aida Adam, and some officials in the association.
The Kuwaiti ambassador to Sudan, Dr. Fahad Al-Dhafiri said that this plane carries 40 tons of food and relief aid, and it is an extension of air and sea aid shipments that have started since the outbreak of the war in April 2023, in implementation of the directives of His Highness, the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad. Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him and protect him, and embody the solidarity of the Kuwaiti people with their brothers in Sudan and under the title (Kuwait is by your side), in confirmation of Kuwait’s humanitarian role towards the crises and disasters faced by peoples and countries. Al-Dhafiri added that Kuwait will remain with the brothers in Sudan until it overcomes its ordeal, noting that today’s plane is an extension of the previous planes, which amounted to a total of (35) aircraft and three cargo ships that carried thousands of tons of food, pharmaceutical and tents aid, appreciating the fruitful cooperation with all Sudanese authorities, and expressing his hope that this aid will contribute to alleviating the suffering of the affected people, and help Sudan to recover. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society will be the first Arab association to provide aid and relief to the citizens of Darfur.
