Jaber chairs meeting of the Supreme Committee for Currency Replacement

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Committee for Currency Replacement.
Minister of Culture and Information and Government Spokesperson Khalid Al-Eiser said in a press statement that the meeting heard a report on the progress of the work of the Supervisory Committee of the Emergency Room for Electronic Payments, as well as the status of the link between banking networks and applications between banks, and the need to expedite procedures.
Al-Eiser said that the meeting discussed reports on the status of telecommunications networks in the states, in addition to reports on the launch of mobile payment services and improving the electronic collection and payment regulations.
The Minister of Culture and Information indicated that the meeting discussed ways to establish controls for commercial banks, contract with them, and prepare for the currency replacement process in states where the replacement process has not yet taken place.
