Face of Truth: Khartoum Adorns Victory and Folds Betrayal and Treachery

During these final ten days of Ramadan 1444 AH, on April 15, 2023, Khartoum inscribed a new page in its history—between betrayal and triumph, between the project of chaos and the will of the state, between the Rapid Support Forces militia and their allies at home and abroad, and between the Sudanese army, which has reshaped the equation of power with steadfastness and determination.
After their attempt to tamper with Sudan’s fate and overthrow the state, the rebels today face their inevitable destiny, suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Sudanese Armed Forces and other regular forces, supported by popular resistance and mobilized citizens. Khartoum is not just a city reclaiming its security; it is a declaration that Sudan is impervious to conspiracies and that the project of chaos will not succeed.
The joy of Sudanese people today is not just a passing celebration; it is an expression of regained sovereignty after two years of suffering, during which no human or stone was spared from the militia’s atrocities. They showed no regard for the sanctity of roads, spared neither the elderly nor children, and subjected women to violations in a scene resembling a systematic invasion aimed at state destruction. But today, justice prevails, and the criminals pay the price for their treachery, while waves of displaced citizens prepare to return to their homes with dignity, marking the beginning of a new phase of recovery and reconstruction.
This Eid al-Fitr will not be like any previous one—it is the Eid of security after chaos, of sovereignty after rebellion, and of restored national awareness of the value of stability. Khartoum, which had been weighed down by chaos and the assault on public interests, is now freeing itself from the legacy of unlawful armed presence and the culture of blockade and destruction. It is the return of the capital to its natural role as the beating heart of the Sudanese state, not a battleground for disorder and conflict.
With the continued advance of the armed forces, it is becoming increasingly clear that the final resolution is approaching. The regular forces persist in their march towards the last rebel strongholds, having secured strategic areas such as the Najoumi military base, Khartoum International Airport, the Yarmouk Industrial Complex, the central bus station, the central market, and large sections of neighborhoods in Khartoum, Omdurman, and East Nile. The full control of bridges and vital service sites marks the definitive end of the militia’s expansion, as their fighters collapse in the face of the structured power of the state and the unyielding will of its people.
Parallel to military operations, the militia’s internal collapse is becoming increasingly evident, with chaotic withdrawals exposing the fragility of their project. While their leaders gamble on holding the capital, their fighters flee, abandoning looted vehicles and seized military positions.
Today, Sudan delivers an invaluable lesson in military and political strategy, proving that nations are not ruled by the gun and that the national army remains the cornerstone of state stability, regardless of internal and external conspiracies.
The world watches in astonishment at the Sudanese Armed Forces’ ability to manage this war—not just in terms of combat superiority and tactical warfare but in orchestrating a comprehensive national battle. The armed forces have demonstrated exceptional military planning and strategic leadership despite economic hardships, disgraceful political isolation, and futile regional conspiracies.
Yet, the most significant lesson is the unity of the people with their army. The Sudanese have shown that loyalty to the nation transcends all other calculations, deeply rooted in history. When crises arise and trials multiply, victory and good tidings follow. The people’s unwavering support was not merely a stance but a fundamental pillar in the resilience and triumph of the armed forces.
Today, the illusions of “Dagalo and his brothers” dissipate, and the project of chaos crumbles before the will of the state and its people, turning the rebellion’s dream into a nightmare that its leaders will pay for before their fighters. Khartoum regains its vitality, the state restores its security, and the rebellion recedes into oblivion.
