U. Of K. Vice-Chancellor: We will start studying next April from inside Omdurman

Khartoum State Governor, Ahmed Osman Hamza, received a delegation from the University of Khartoum headed by its Vice-Chancellor, Professor Imad al-Din Ardeeb, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the State Government, Al-Hadi Abdel-Sayed Ibrahim, and the Director-General of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, Al-Tayeb Saad al-Din.
The visit comes to inspect the general conditions and facilities of the university and reconstruction, and then the return of students to the classrooms and holding exams.
The Governor of Khartoum, promised to provide everything that contributes to the return of the university’s activity in Khartoum and the rest of the scientific activities in higher and general education, in addition to facilitating the process of access to these facilities in coordination with the security authorities, pointing to the great cooperation with the university before the war period in a number of vital projects, and promised that the cooperation will extend during the next stage by benefiting from the university’s expertise and experiences, especially in the field of reconstruction and scientific research centers to contribute to this important aspect.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Khartoum said that the visit is an opening for joint cooperation in the areas needed by the state government and promised that the university’s consultancy will be present in providing everything that is achieved in terms of reconstruction and renaissance, considering that this is of great importance.
He said that the university is now in the process of resuming its administrative and academic activities in Omdurman, pointing to the beginning of the fifth session of exams next April to provide an opportunity for students who were unable to sit in the previous sessions, and he pledged that the university will be a support to the state government in the reconstruction work.
