The National Quarantine Department of the General Administration of Basic Health Care recently convened in Kassala for the annual meeting devoted to the directors of health quarries throughout Sudan for the year 2025. During the closing session, the Federal Minister of Health-designate, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, delivered an inspiring address highlighting the remarkable performance exhibited by health personnel at the quarries, particularly throughout the challenging year of 2024. Despite facing numerous obstacles while actively engaged on the front lines of health management and disease prevention, these dedicated individuals demonstrated unwavering commitment and resilience. Minister Ibrahim emphasized the necessity of addressing and improving the working conditions for these health workers as a priority moving forward. He pledged to implement strategies aimed at enhancing their welfare and optimizing the overall work environment, thereby ensuring that the health sector is adequately equipped to respond effectively to future health crises.
