Member of the TSC Salah El-Din Adam affirms his full support for health programs and activities aimed at serving citizens

Member of the Trasitional Soveirgnity Counicl, Salah El-Din Adam Tour affirmed his full support for health programs, projects and activities aimed at serving citizens.

This came during his address at the opening of the Sudan World Conference on Joint Surgery and Restoration, held at the Marina Hotel in Port Sudan, in the presence of the Federal Minister of Health and a number of department directors, with the participation of representatives from Egypt, Ethiopia and Turkey.

His Excellency said that the World Conference on Joint Surgery and Restoration sends a message of steadfastness and hope that health services, development and medical education do not stop under the darkest circumstances, adding that despite the challenges facing the country, investment in health and education remains the best investment to build the future as it is the best way to advance our society and achieve sustainable development.

He praised the sacrifices and bravery of the armed forces to defend the homeland, the safety of its lands and its security, pointing to the role of doctors in the battle of dignity and pride and their support for the armed forces and their keenness and efforts to provide a health service that preserves the lives of citizens.

The Sovereignty Council member added that the official and popular solidarity in the country is evidence of well-being that embodies that Sudan is able to overcome hardships and challenges, and that the good national competencies are able to bring about positive change whenever they are provided with the supportive environment and necessary capabilities, praising the efforts of those who contributed to supporting the organization of this conference and all those working in the health field, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the participating delegations from Egypt, Ethiopia and Turkey.

For his part, the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohammed, said that the organization of this scientific conference comes while Sudan is going through extremely complex circumstances, indicating that holding such scientific activities and conferences in the shadow of the ongoing war are signs confirming that Sudan is able to face challenges with the determination of its sons, components and its own capabilities to rise and return to the prestigious platforms among the countries of the world and the region.

The Minister of Health stressed that the conference recommendations will support the opportunities for localizing this precise and important specialty in Sudan through specialized hospitals, with the sustainability of training programs related to the specialty of orthopedic surgery and joint restoration.
