Khartoum Health signs a MoU with the Sudanese Red Crescent for cooperation in health and environmental health matters

The Ministry of Health, Khartoum State, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society for joint cooperation in health matters in the areas of health emergencies, environmental health, vector control, and therapeutic medicine in hospitals.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the ministry by Dr. Fath al-Rahman Muhammad al-Amin, Director General of the Ministry of Health, the acting minister, and on behalf of the association by Osama Mustafa Suleiman, Director of the Red Crescent Society, Khartoum State Branch, in the presence of
Dr. Ahmed al-Bashir Fadlallah, Director General of Therapeutic Medicine, and Dr. Hisham Abdullah, Director General of Organizations and Partnerships, and the specialized directors of the Red Crescent.

Dr. Fath al-Rahman called on the association to support the ministry by participating in cleaning and disinfection operations in Khartoum North locality, which was completely liberated from the grip of the rebel militia, before the acting minister appreciated the association’s efforts in preparing the environment and disinfection operations at Omdurman Hospital, describing it as a very distinguished work.
For his part, the Director of the Red Crescent Society confirmed the preparation of two teams for environmental health and disinfection work, one in Greater Omdurman and the other in Khartoum North, so that the Society would begin participating in disinfection operations in hospitals in Khartoum North, noting that the Red Crescent Society has a team working with the Forensic Medicine Department at the Ministry of Health on the issue of corpses.
