Khartoum Governor discusses the re-operation of the Khartoum North Industrial Zone

Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Osman Hamza, held a meeting to re-operate Khartoum North Industrial Zone with the coordination group of the Industrial Zone in the presence of Dr. Nawal Bashir, Director General of the Ministry of Finance, the Minister in Charge, Ihab Hashim Ismail, Secretary General of Local Government, Commissioner of Investment in the State, and the Executive Director of Khartoum North Locality, Abdul Rahman Ahmed Abdul Rahman, and representatives of the regular forces.
The group expressed its readiness to restart the industrial zone by rehabilitating the factories that were destroyed by the rebel militia and looted their contents to return to production as soon as possible after the security circle expanded and the advancement of the armed forces advanced, demanding the state government to restore basic services and insurance by making bases and touring to fill the current vacuum so that the rehabilitation process and return to work is an incentive for all owners of industrial activities and access to factories after limiting losses and damages. The Executive Director of Khartoum North Locality, Abdul Rahman Ahmed Abdul Rahman, pointed out that Khartoum North Industrial Zone is the largest activity in the field of manufacturing at the state level and the largest supporter of production and raw materials, stressing the importance of returning to work to restore the industrial gap, employ workers and compensate for the damage with the contribution of the security services to contribute to providing an environment that encourages work in a stable and safe environment.
Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Osman, confirmed the state’s readiness to provide everything that helps and the work environment for the return of the activity of factories, shops and markets in order to restore activity in all its fields, indicating the state’s policy in the next stage to ease the burden on manufacturers and support them with everything that enables them to return to their activity and adopt it to proceed through the plan The 2030 structural plan organizes the urban development path by moving industrial areas away from housing, and the current map must be re-established in all activities.
He said that the reconstruction process is currently going through three main axes, with the importance of the presence of the National Mine Action Center in each location and ensuring that the areas are free of mines or any explosive devices by inspecting the sites and streets and making them free of any threat through the center’s teams and restoring electricity, water and security services. He said that the determination is now for Sudan to return strong and accept the challenge so that we can present to the world the model through the experiences of scientists and national expertise that have continued to provide in all fields, stressing his full support for the initiative and the return of industry and production in Khartoum State, especially Khartoum North Industrial Zone, and providing everything that helps with that.
