JEM leading figure threatens to expel Al-Hilu from Nuba Mountains

Major General Al-Tom Hamid Tutu, Secretary of Social Affairs in the Justice and Equality Movement and the official responsible for security arrangements in Kordofan, announced their categorical rejection of the establishment of a parallel government by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu and the Janjaweed in South Kordofan, the Nuba Mountains.

Tutu said, “We reject the project of fragmenting Sudan by the rebel Rapid Support Militia, Al-Hilu and its allies.”
Tutu confirmed his condemnation of the violations committed by the rebel Abdel Aziz Adam Al-Hilu against the Nuba, stressing his rejection of approving the division of Sudan by forming a parallel government in Nairobi. Tutu condemned the attacks of the SOLM-N on various areas in Habila, and Kargal.
He described the Nuba leaders behind Al-Hilu as a herd and said that the formation of the government in Nairobi does not oblige any Nuba and he decided not to allow the establishment of any government in the Nuba Mountains and threatened that the Kauda Mountains will turn into volcanoes after Al-Hilu’s alliance with the Janjaweed
He pledged to enter into a fight with Al-Hilu’s movement and to remove him from the Nuba Mountains to the dustbin of history and not to enter the Nuba Mountains again.
Tutu said that Abdel Aziz was one of the first supporters of the Janjaweed and he provided evidence for that by striking all the garrisons in the state and allowing the Janjaweed to enter the areas of Kargal, Kilek, Eri, Kiga, Dashool and even Habila and practicing systematic killing and genocide in Habila and preventing the entry of relief by besieging the Nuba Mountains.
