Foreign Ministry reveals escalating measures against Kenyan interference in the country’s internal affairs

Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin Al-Fadil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed escalating measures against the Kenyan government and the Kenyan president, due to its interference in Sudan’s internal affairs, and hosting activities of the terrorist Rapid Support militia and its allies targeting the security, stability and unity of Sudan.
He added during the weekly briefing of the Ministry of Culture and Information, organized by the Sudan News Agency in Port Sudan today, that the measures will be escalating and gradual, revealing steps by the government to take economic measures that include banning the import of Kenyan products,as Sudan is considered one of the largest importers of tea from Kenya, noting that this step is preceded by arrangements, including arranging and finding alternatives.
He added, “We will send complaints to international organizations against Kenya and we have addressed the heads of the international organizations of which we are members,” expecting international criticism and measures against this Kenyan interference in Sudanese affairs.
Ambassador Hussein said that the external political battles against the country are raging, the latest of which was what happened in Kenya and hosting rebel meetings, adding that Kenya, represented by its president, has been interfering in Sudan’s affairs and supporting the rebellion since the beginning of the war, indicating that the Kenyan president has personal relations and interests with the militia leader, a matter that pushed him to take this position.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that inside Kenya there is an honest opposition that stands against this approach adopted by the Kenyan president, affirming that the step of hosting the rebel militia meetings is considered a blatant interference in Sudan’s internal affairs and a violation of all international charters and covenants, foremost among which are the charters of the United Nations, the African Union, IGAD and others, pointing out that the charters of all these organizations call for non-interference in the internal affairs of countries.
He said that the government had previously summoned its ambassador from Nairobi a year ago because Kenya received the militia leader as a conquering leader.
He added that Foreign Minister Dr. Ali Youssef had previously visited Kenya some time ago and met with the Kenyan president in an attempt to make a diplomatic breakthrough in this file, and at that time the Kenyan president pledged that Kenya would not recognize any parallel government.
He said that the Kenyan president’s claims of seeking to find a solution to the Sudanese crisis and his keenness on stability are a lie, pointing out that the Kenyan president contains and harbors the criminal militia, so how can he be keen on stopping the war while he is sponsoring those who are fueling it, indicating that the Kenyan president has known personal interests with the militia leader and its sponsors, stressing that Kenya is betting on losing cards.
