Al-Burhan congratulates the Algerian President on the occasion of Salma Malika’s victory in the position of Vice-Chairman of the African Union Commission

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, sent a cable of congratulations to the Algerian President today. Abdel Majid Tebboune, on the occasion of Mrs. Salma Melika election as Vice-Chairman of the African Union Commission, during the African Union summit, which was held recently in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. Lieutenant-General Al-Burhan expressed his hope that the institutions of the African Union will witness dynamic and effectiveness in dealing with the urgent issues of the African continent, which are to achieve peace, security, stability and development in African countries. He stressed that Africa is able to address its issues within the African house without foreign interference.
Al-Burhan referred to the advanced level that Sudan’s relationship with Algeria has reached, stressing that the two brotherly peoples have historical ties and a common destiny.
