AcoGaps concludes the training course on enhancing media appearance skills

The African Center for Governance, Peace, and Transition Studies (AcoGaps) concluded the 35th training course on “Enhancing Media Appearance and Influence Skills in Satellite Channels”, which lasted for two days from January 18 to 19.

The course, in which political and media leaders, civil service, armed struggle movements and civil society organizations participated, aims at upgrading the capabilities and skills of participants, besides achieving great interaction through the media.

The center also aims to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve media influence, and enhance their role in supporting national efforts to deal with the crisis and its repercussions.

Dr. Rashid Muhammad Ibrahim, Professor of Political Science and Strategic Studies at the Supreme Security Academy, and Dr. Muhi Muhammad Muhi al-Din, media expert, were among the main lecturers in the course.

This course comes within the framework of the center’s project to support the battle of dignity, and enhance national unity and societal cohesion.

Dr. Mahmoud Zein Al-Abidine, Director General of the Center, indicated that the Center plans to implement upcoming training courses to enhance the capabilities of media, press and civil society workers in order to play more effective roles in supporting the battle of dignity, and supporting early recovery and reconstruction efforts. The closing session was attended by Mr. Abdullah Muhammad Ali Bilal, Vice President of the African Media Union, and a number of members of the Executive Office of the Union, Dr. Muhammad Haroun Mujahid, Director General of Training in the Red Sea State, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Al-Maz, leader of the Justice and Equality Movement, former Minister and expert in humanitarian work, Ms. Buthaina Judeh, and a number of senior media professionals.
