Sudan and Mali discuss strengthening joint cooperation mechanisms

Yesterday, in Bamako, the capital of the Republic of Mali, joint talks between Sudan and Mali were held, where the Sudanese side was headed by the
Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, while the Malian side was headed by President Assimi Goita.
The talks focused on the relations between the two countries and mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation.
Lieutenant General Al-Burhan said in his speech before the joint talks session that there are mechanisms that have been formed to follow up on strengthening areas of cooperation in education, agriculture and industry, and to work on activating the role of joint ministerial committees and the necessity of coordination between the two countries in combating terrorist groups and rebels.
Al-Burhan added that there is a colonial campaign led by countries against Sudan.
This is by supporting the rebellion in Sudan with the aim of undermining its security and stability, referring to the terrorist operations that the rebels have been carrying out against the Sudanese people.
He reassured the President of the Republic of Mali that victory over the rebels would be near, stressing Sudan’s determination to fight the new colonialism, pointing to the great popular solidarity with the armed forces, which played a major role in achieving recent victories.
For his part, President Assimi Goita affirmed the Republic of Mali’s support for Sudan in the face of the targeting it is facing, calling for steadfastness and patience until victory over these rebels is achieved.
He pointed to the extensive experience that Sudan has in various fields, stressing his country’s desire to expand the frameworks of cooperation with Sudan in many areas.
