OFAC Decision is malicious targeting the unity of Sudan, Says Agar

Deputy Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Agar Ayre, denounced the decision issued by the OFAC to impose sanctions against the Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, describing the decision as malicious targeting the unity of Sudan and the integrity of its territories.
His Excellency called, when addressing the spontaneous marches that came out in Port Sudan today, denouncing the US sanctions decision against the Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief, for more cohesion, national unity and unification of visions so that Sudan does not collapse.
Agar added that the US decisions are not new to Sudan, as the Sudanese have experienced them since 1999, and they did not succeed in dismantling and collapsing the Sudanese state, but rather increased national unity, popular cohesion and the people’s rallying around their leadership. His Excellency affirmed that the Head of the Sovereignty Council is performing his duty towards his people at this moment, as he leads the battles himself in the front lines, heralding to the citizens that the hour of victory is approaching. Agar added that what the leaders of the Forces for Freedom and Change called for is only aimed at serving their political agenda and to undermine the country’s national army, promoting the recent violations with the aim of destabilizing security and sowing discord between Sudan and its brothers.
The Deputy Head of the Sovereignty Council stressed that the government is fully determined to take all legal measures against anyone proven to be involved in any violations, noting that violations are possible during the war, but they are individual and unsystematic transgressions and do not represent the army or other regular agencies.
His Excellency indicated that the investigation committee into the events of Taiba Camp in Gezira State has already begun conducting the necessary investigations to enforce the law, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Sudanese people and citizens who are rallying to support the Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
