General Command of the Armed Forces Denounces OFAC Sanctions against the Army’s Commander-in-Chief

The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces issued the following statement

The Sudanese Armed Forces condemn the unjust decision issued by the US Treasury Department to impose sanctions against the Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, the leader of the Sudanese nation and the leader of the National Dignity War, which our forces and people are waging against the mercenaries and terrorist militia of Al-Dagalo.
We also condemn the reference to any measures that could affect any of the leaders of the Armed Forces.

The Armed Forces affirm that these unjust measures will not deter them from carrying out their legal and constitutional duty to defend the country and its people and secure the safety of its lands against mercenaries, agents and their supporters at home and abroad.
We are driven by a firm determination, resolve and national will that will not weaken, and reinforced by the unlimited support of our people until the elimination of the last rebel, mercenary and agent.
