Birds – 1

God has created the existence, with all its facts and wonders. One of the world’s wonders and all kinds of birds.
Birds have the most amazing features that took hundreds of years for humans to make one example look-like. Airplanes; have been able to fly in the sky at a limited height carrying limited number of passengers only after thousands of experiments over the decades. But birds were created to fly and experience the feeling of the air so naturally and without the help of any external engines but air and their wings.
In this article, I would like to mention few facts about birds, their kinds, types, and some of their amazing features that we humans are copying daily.

According to Merriam Webster Dictionary; Birds “are any of a class (Aves) of warm-blooded vertebrates distinguished by having the body more or less completely covered with feathers and the forelimbs modified as wings”. Different types of birds can be found according to different aspects like weather and geographical regions, where the species distribution range is determined by climatic variables and species traits as the studies show.

Africa is characterized by its amazing warm and hot climates, this is why it has some of the amazing birds that could not be found anywhere. The most famous example is Ostrich. The largest and one of the world’s most well known birds, is found exclusively in Africa. It is also the world’s heaviest bird, measuring up to eight feet tall and weighing up to 300 pounds.

Another example of African bird is the White-Wing Flufftail; With a global adult population of less than two hundred and fifty adults, this African bird is one of the rarest of them all. They are found in high-altitude marshlands and grasslands across several countries, including South Africa and Zambia.

In Sudan; there are different types of beautiful birds like; Hamerkop, Mousebird, Painted-snipe, Nubian woodpecker, Little bee-eater, and other birds that are found in the different parts of the country.
