Qatar Red Crescent launches medical convoys in the presence of the Sovereignty Council

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Salah El-Din Adam Tour, Undersecretary of Health Dr. Esmat Mustafa, and Qatari Ambassador to Sudan, Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sada, launched medical convoys in the specialties of eye treatment, urinary tract, kidney portal, and pediatric surgery in four states on the occasion of Qatar National Day.
The Qatari Director of the Qatar Red Crescent Society in Sudan, Dr. Salah Al-Daak, said that the four medical convoys target twelve thousand treatment cases, one thousand two hundred cataract, retina, and glaucoma operations, besides two hundred and fifty specialized operations for children, urinary tract, and general surgery.
A delegation of surgeons from the State of Qatar participated in the medical convoys, headed by ophthalmology consultant Omar Al-Qahtani.
The member of the Sovereignty Council praised the State of Qatar, government and people, thanking them for their support for the Sudanese people during the war.
The Council member congratulated the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sudan and the Qatari people on the National Day of the State of Qatar.
The Qatari Ambassador spoke at the celebration, stressing that this day comes to commemorate the National Day of the State of Qatar and that they tried to make it far from the traditional celebration and to support humanitarian work and medical convoys on this day, expressing his wishes for peace, stability and security for Sudan and promising more support next year, thanking the Sovereignty Council for their presence and honoring the celebration, as well as thanking all partners.
Dr. Salah Al-Daak, Chairman of the Qatar Red Crescent, spoke, stressing that this year there was a focus on support with medical supplies and food baskets, but next year they have prepared a plan to support hospitals with equipment, medical devices and ambulances, and a plan to support livelihoods with income-generating projects and support water stations in cities and improve water quality while continuing to support food baskets and shelter support.
Al-Daak thanked all partners who contributed during the year to delivering relief supplies to all those affected by the war in Sudan, as he thanked the government of Qatar, government and people, for their support Historical with Sudan and thanked the Qatar Development Fund and the Qatar Red Crescent Administration in Doha for their interest and support for the Sudan office.
He also thanked the partners in Sudan, the Humanitarian Aid Commission and the Sudanese Red Crescent in the center and states for the great cooperation.
He also thanked the Federal Ministry of Health and the Ministries of Health in the states and the Ministry of Social Affairs for the great cooperation in implementing projects and serving those affected by the war.
He concluded his speech by congratulating His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar and the Qatari people on the National Day, wishing them continued development and prosperity.
