Proposal to establish A regional Center for Treatment of Tumors in Sudan

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Esmat Mustafa, met with the Director of the International University of Africa, Prof. Hatem Osman Mohamed, at the Quarantine Library in Port Sudan, to enhance joint cooperation and contribution to develop oncology services in Sudan.
In a formal address following the meeting, Dr. Esmat Mustafa emphasized the significance of working together to establish a regional center and confirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing necessary information for the proposal’s approval.
Dr. Esmat highlighted the ongoing partnership with the International University of Africa, which includes initiatives for the early detection of breast cancer. Moreover, he underscored the importance of joint coordination between the university and the National Center for Oncology for successful collaboration.
This collaborative effort aims to improve oncology services in Sudan and underscores the commitment of both parties to advancing healthcare in the region.
It is worth mentioning that the project aims to establish regional centers in Kampala University Teaching Hospital, in addition to five countries, including the International University of Africa in Sudan.
