Khartoum Governor bids farewell to the first group of the Return to Sennar Initiative

The first group of the Return to Sennar Initiative left Khartoum State today.
Khartoum Governor Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, bid farewell to them with the participation of the Secretary-General of the Khartoum State Government, Al-Hadi Abdel-Sayed, the Director of the State Police, Lieutenant-General of (Police) Amir Abdel-Moneim, and the Acting Director of the State Security Authority, Major General Walid Bayoumi.
The initiative comes with the support of businessman Saad Babiker and the “Al-Enserafi” Group.
Khartoum Governor Khartoum praised the great victories achieved by the armed forces and the forces participating in the Battle of Dignity, which contributed to the recapturing of Sennar State from the RSF militia.
He stressed that the return represents the desire of citizens to go to their homes and work, pointing to the efforts of supporters to provide the necessary assistance to enable those wishing to return.
He also announced the state government’s readiness to harness all capabilities to provide the needs of survivors of the militia’s hell for those fleeing the hell of the militia, praising the support of the charitable people by establishing charitable kitchens that express the solidarity of the people of Sudan in times of hardship.
For his part, the representative of Al-Enserafi Initiative praised the contributions of businessmen and charitable people in the success of the programs to alleviate the suffering of war, stressing that this convoy is the first and will be followed by other convoys to support those wishing to return to safe areas.
Mohamed Youssef, the representative of Sennar State, also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Khartoum State government in hosting those arriving from all regions and providing them with housing and food.
He added that the first batch of voluntary return includes 600 citizens, representing 128 families, distributed over 11 buses accompanied by a food and shelter aid convoy provided by the Governor of Khartoum and Al-Ensesrafi Group.
