IGAD Executive Secretary receives Norwegian Ambassador to Ethiopia accredited to IGAD

IGAD Executive Secretary, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu received Norwegian Ambassador to Ethiopia and accredited to IGAD Ambassador Kristensen Setan.
The meeting discussed enhancing joint cooperation in democracy, good governance, peace and security in the Horn of Africa.
Gebeyehu also praised Norway’s contributions to climate change and gender equality.

After the meeting, Dr. Workneh Gebeyeh posted the following on x platform:

Received H.E. Amb. Stian Christensen (@Stian_C) Norway’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and accredited to IGAD. We discussed the strengthening of IGAD-Norway cooperation in promoting democracy, good governance, peace, security, and inclusive political transitions in the Horn of Africa.
I also acknowledged Norway’s critical contributions to addressing global challenges including climate change and gender equality.
