IGAD delegation, Djibouti government representatives tour community projects in Ali Sabieh and Ali Adde

Funded by the German Development Bank and in partnership between IGAD and the Government of Djibouti
IGAD Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu accompanied by representatives from the Government of Djibouti visited host community projects in the cities of Ali Sabieh and Ali Adde to host more than 33,000 refugees and community members
These projects include community development and strengthening social cohesion in addition to providing services and creating jobs
and livelihoods for vulnerable communities affected by migration.

On the occasion, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu posted the following in x platform:

“IGAD, in partnership with the Government of Djibouti and the Regional Migration Fund (funded by Germany through KFW), is implementing projects to benefit over 33,000 refugees and host community members in Ali Sabieh and Ali-Addeh(Republic of Djibouti) These include rehabilitating the Lycée technique and building a Community Development Center to improve access to services, create jobs, and foster social cohesion.
Today, I led the IGAD delegation and with Djibouti government representatives on a tour of these projects, emphasizing the importance of completing them to enhance the livelihoods of vulnerable communities affected by migration.”
