Higher Education Praises the efforts of El Geneina University

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohamed Hassan Dahab, recently provided a comprehensive briefing on the current state of affairs at El Geneina University. During the briefing, he addressed various issues, problems, and ongoing programs at the university. He commended the collaborative efforts of both the government and the university administration in creating a conducive environment for academic pursuits and highlighted their commitment to addressing the challenges faced by students.

In particular, the Minister expressed his solidarity with students and their families who had been displaced and sought refuge in neighboring countries following the unrest caused by the rebel Rapid Support militia. His meeting with Professor Tayeb Ali Ahmed, Director of El Geneina University, and the accompanying delegation underscored his personal engagement with the situation.

The Minister also acknowledged the unique challenges faced by El Geneina University given its location in West Darfur state, which has been a stronghold for the rebel Rapid Support militias. He lauded the university for maintaining a high standard of administration amidst these difficult circumstances.
