A meeting was convened at the office of Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, in the national quarantine, to enhance collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Health and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Sudan. The discussion focused on the challenges faced in providing life-saving medicines, medical equipment, and operations. Resident Representative of UNDP, Luca Rinda, was also present.

UNDP has pledged its steadfast support to the Ministry of Health in addressing these challenges. This support includes sustaining the tuberculosis and AIDS programs, bolstering the health system and primary healthcare services, and ensuring continuity of projects disrupted by past conflicts in Sudan.

The commitment from both parties underscores a shared vision to improve health outcomes and strengthen healthcare services across Sudan. This collaboration reflects a mutual dedication to advancing public health and underscores the importance of partnerships in achieving sustainable development goals in the health sector.
