Gibril meets with the Security Police Commander to follow up on securing the currency transportation as part of the currency change

Finance Minister, Dr. Gibril Ibrahim, met yesterday with Major General Kambal Hussein Kambal, the Commander of the Security Police. This is within the framework of the ongoing preparations for changing the national currency, where the Minister was briefed on the latest preparations and measures taken by the Security Police to secure the process of transporting the new currency to the targeted states.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed with Major General Kambal the details of the comprehensive security plan to secure the currency transfer and distribution operations in a safe and sound manner, in order to ensure that it reaches all bank branches in all targeted states without any problems or security threats.
Dr. Jibril praised the efforts of the Security Police in enhancing security measures during this vital process, stressing that securing the currency transfer is one of the government’s priorities to ensure the successful implementation of the currency change plan.

For his part, Major General Kambal confirmed that the Security Police has completed its preparations to ensure that the process proceeds smoothly and safely, noting that coordination between all concerned parties will contribute to achieving the desired goals.
