Foreign Minister receives delegation from the Arab and African Youth Council

Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef, Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a delegation from the Arab and African Youth Council headed by the Secretary-General of the Council, Eng. Hudhaifa Al-Moatasem Al-Hassan.

The Secretary-General of the Council congratulated the Minister on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and reviewed the most prominent activities of the Council during 2024, which included a visit to the African Union, participation in the Future Summit in New York, and participation in the African Youth Forum in Oran, Algeria, where the Executive Committee of the Council organized a symposium on the sidelines of the forum in which it affirmed its support and solidarity with the Government of Sudan in facing current challenges, as well as the Council’s celebrations of the International Volunteer Day in Manama, Bahrain. The Secretary-General also presented the features of the Council’s plan for 2025.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Council’s delegation.
He referred to the headquarters agreement signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Council, stressing the government’s readiness to provide all forms of support to facilitate the tasks of the Council and support it in its future projects and programs. He also welcomed the visit of the Executive Committee delegation to Port Sudan next January, calling for enhancing joint cooperation to support the issues of Arab and African youth. ____
