Federal emergency meeting confirms low rate of cholera and dengue fever

The meeting of the Federal Emergency Operations Center today, Tuesday, in the emergency hall of the public health laboratory in Kassala State , confirmed the low rate of cholera and dengue fever, announcing the implementation of many interventions from the competent departments of the ministry for control, along with the report of the Ministry of Health in Gezira State, and the federal support teams for the states of Khartoum and White Nile.

The epidemiological situation report of cholera confirmed the registration of (34) new infections yesterday, without causing deaths, bringing the cumulative number of infections in (82) localities from (11) states to (49,554) infections, including (1,316) deaths.
While the epidemiological situation report of dengue fever indicated two cases, without deaths, bringing the cumulative number of infections to (8,692) infections, including (15) deaths, from (8) states in (32) localities.

The report of the daily intervention of cholera epidemic interventions, on the decrease in entry to isolation centers, indicating that the epidemic is at its end in the states affected by the disease, pointing to the continuation of interventions at the federal level, while noting some challenges
