Defense Minister announces the liberation of two strategic areas in Gezira and Sennar

Minister of National Defense, Lieutenant General Yassin Ibrahim Yassin, announced the liberation of the armed forces of the Al-Qura area in Gezira State and the Sennar Sugar Factory in Sennar State; indicating that the militia suffered heavy losses in lives.

The Minister of Defense, who spoke in a press briefing in Port Sudan, added that the UAE has been supplying the militia with suicide and strategic drones throughout the war, noting that the drones that targeted Wadi Sayedna base in Omdurman were launched from airports in Chad.

The Minister of Defense revealed the involvement of a number of neighboring countries in participating in the war against the Sudanese people, confirming that Sudan has all the evidence to prove this, adding that Sudan reserves the right to respond at the appropriate time.

He announced the defeat of the rebel militia and the restoration of Umm Al-Qura locality east of Gezira State, in addition to controlling the Sennar Sugar Factory area after the militia fled from it.
He revealed the destruction and death of a number of militia vehicles and dead of a number of it’s leaders. He pointed out that the Sayyad (Hunter) movement is carrying out extensive operations affirming that it approached the Um-Ruwaba area causing the destruction of a large number of the militia in the area.
