Clarification from the Ministry of Health regarding the participation of one of its members Taqadum meeting in Uganda

The Ministry of Health issued a clarification regarding the participation of one of its members in the Coordination of Democratic Civilian Forces (Taqadum) meeting in Uganda.

The following is the text of the statement:

In clarification of what was reported by various social media outlets regarding the participation of the Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at the National Fund for Medical Supplies, Ezz El-Din El-Dahab, in the meetings of the leadership of Taqadum in Uganda, we clarify the following:

First: Indeed, the aforementioned person participated in the meeting without permission or communication with the management of the National Fund for Medical Supplies or even its knowledge, as he obtained permission to travel to regularize the status of his family in Uganda.

Second: He was contacted and confirmed that he was among the participants in attendance at the press conference.

Third: The Director General of the Fund took immediate action to suspend him from work and refer him to investigation, because this appears to be support for the militia and its supporters.

Third: The Director General of the Fund traveled on December 7, 2024 to visit his family in Uganda with the official permission of the Minister of Health, i.e. after the date of the alleged conference, and has no relation to any of the political entities concerned.

These decisions are in line with the decision issued by the Government of Sudan, which criminalizes any cooperation or support with the Rapid Support Militia and the penalty for that is dismissal from civil service.

The Ministry of Health confirms that its position is clear in the war of dignity and that it is on the same side as the armed forces of the people.
