Cholera Response Campaign kicks off in three States.

The Expanded Program on Immunization at the Federal Ministry of Health announced the launch of the cholera response campaign in the December round today in three states, including 3 localities in the Red Sea State (Port Sudan, Dardib and Haya) targeting 652437 people, in addition to the locality of Qoli in the White Nile State targeting 241,411 people, the River Nile State, the localities of Shendi and Al-Mutma, more than 915 thousand people, aged one year and above, and will continue until December 23.

The Federal Chamber held its first meeting at the Reproductive Health Hall in Kassala.
The meeting reviewed the reports of the liaison officers on the campaign and preparations before launching in the specified states, the supply position, and health promotion activities in its various axes.

The head of the chamber, Mohammed Al-Hussein Al-Hajj, said in a press statement after the meeting, that the campaign uses 3 strategies to deliver service to citizens, stressing that the vaccine is safe, effective and free, and prevents infection with the disease.

Al-Hajj revealed that the campaign is being prepared in the northern state of Dongola and Dibba localities, targeting more than 500,000 people.
