Al-Burhan tweets: We were saddened by the news of the death of former US President Carter. Our condolences to his family, the president and the people

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan tweeted, saying:

“We were saddened by the news of the death of former US President Jimmy Carter. Our condolences to his family, the president and the American people. The Sudanese will not forget what the Carter Center has provided and its efforts in promoting human rights, social development and combating poverty and diseases. May he rest in peace.”
