Al-Burhan meets the Special Representative of the United Kingdom in Sudan

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese bArmed Forces, 1st.Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, met, today, the Special Representative of the United Kingdom in Sudan, Richard Crawder.

Ambassador Anas Al-Tayeb Al-Jilani, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the meeting was transparent, in which the distinguished relations between Sudan and Britain were addressed, indicating that the Head of the Sovereign Council stressed the importance of strengthening and developing those relatiins to serve the interests of the two peoples.
He affirmed the commitment of the Government of Sudan to protect civilians as a result of the attacks and violations committed by the terrorist Rapid Support Militia, especially in Darfur and Gezira, a matter that
represents a flagrant violation of the draft resolution (1591) on Darfur, as well as the draft resolution on the siege of El Fasher.

Ambassador Anas added that the Head of the Sovereignty Council also stressed the importance of working with the international community to stop these violations, which are incompatible with human rights and human rights.

He affirmed Sudan’s willingness to continue constructive dialogue with the United Kingdom for solid relations.
For his part, the Special Representative of the United Kingdom expressed his thanks and appreciation for holding this meeting, indicating that Sudan is currently facing difficult conditions, pointing to the humanitarian situation facing millions of Sudanese, adding that his country will not forget Sudan, as stated by the British Foreign Minister during United Nations meetings, noting that the meeting touched on the position of the United Kingdom and its efforts to help the Sudanese people,

He added, “We discussed the urgent need to end the war, stop the conflict, and the necessity of all parties to engage in a dialogue, including the implementation of the Jeddah Declaration. We condemn all human rights violations that have occurred in Gezira and elsewhere during the past days and weeks.”
He pointed to the increase in his country’s contributions to humanitarian operations through the United Nations, which amounted to more than (140) million tons, distributed within Sudan, in addition to other aid estimated at (69) million tons to be distributed to Sudanese refugees in the region.

The Special Representative of the United Kingdom stressed the need to work together to ensure that aid is delivered to those who need it most across Sudan. for those who deserve it.
