The sub-committee of the Nile Valley University Workers’ Union resumes activities

The sub-committee of the Nile Valley University Workers’ Union held an emergency meeting of its executive office following the decision issued by the Registrar of Labor Organizations to direct the Ministry of Justice in this regard, where Dr. Jaafar Abdul Latif Hamid, head of the sub-committee of the Nile Valley University Workers’ Union, welcomed the decision, congratulating the members of his office on the return of union work and beginning his speech by praying for the armed and joint forces, and the mobilized for a resounding victory, asking God to return Sudan to its security and peace.
He also prayed for mercy on the members of the union’s executive office who passed away during the past period
He said that the union has returned in its legal form and is the legitimate representative of the workers and seeks to achieve its legitimate demands, indicating the social roles of the union through which it seeks to ensure the stability of workers and work on their welfare.
He affirmed that the union will continue its intended path and announced that it will be one of the arms of the administration, stressing that it will find all the help and support.
He added that the Executive Office is determined to achieve its desired goals, indicating the great harm that has befallen workers, especially the vulnerable groups, pensioners, and those who have passed away.
The Executive Office of the Sub-Committee of the Nile Valley University Workers Union confirmed that the senior management will find all the assistance and provide advice and counsel.
In a meeting that included members of the Executive Office of the Sub-Committee of the Nile Valley University Workers’ Union with the senior management, Professor Hassan Al-Sai’m, the Vice Chancellor of the University, andhis deputy Dr. Al-Amin Al-Tayeb Al-Tahir, the meeting emphasized the importance of the union’s work in social cohesion among workers.
For his part, Professor Hassan Al-Sa’im said that the university administration and the union represent two side of one coin, and complement each other for the sake of workers and the development of the university’s progress, demanding that the union present a model to be emulated by the rest of the Higher Education Institutions’ Union, as the Nile Valley University hosts a significant number of students from other universities, totaling 30 universities. The university is considered the only one among Sudanese universities that carries out its duties in person, praising in this regard the dedication and enthusiasm of the workers at the Nile Valley University in their various job categories in their cooperation with these universities.
Dr. Al-Amin Al-Tayeb Al-Tahir, indicated that there will be cooperation and coordination with the union for the sake of the workers’ interests, directing that a contract be immediately signed with one of the medical laboratories to conduct medical examinations for workers free of charge.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Jaafar Abdul Latif Hamid, Head of the Sub-Committee of the Nile Valley University Workers’ Union, announced the launch of social work for all workers soon.
