Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, accompanied by the member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, and the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, inspected the Coptic Church on Al-Shenqeeti Street and met with a number of priests and families and listened to a report on the vandalism that affected the church, the looting of its archaeological contents, and the digging up of graves in search of gold.
Al-Burhan pledged to rehabilitate the church and return it to its past.
