Minister of Energy and Oil meets his Russian counterpart

Minister of Energy and Oil Dr. Mohi El-Din Naeem Mohamed discussed with his counterpart, the Russian Minister of Energy Sergey Tsevilev
bilateral cooperation in the energy, oil and gas sector, and the two parties reviewed potential prospects for joint projects in the fields of electric power, oil exploration and production, and fuel provision.
They stressed mutual interest in developing energy dialogue between Russia and Sudan.
The Russian side agreed on three aspects represented in investing in oil exploration and production, fuel supply, and electricity development in Sudan.
The technical delegation from the Ministry of Energy and Oil presented the available opportunities for investment in oil and gas exploration and production for a number of Russian companies, including the Russian company Legacy Capital, which expressed its desire to enter into investment in Sudan. The technical delegation will continue to meet with a number of Russian government companies during this visit.
The delegation of national oil companies also discussed with the Russian company Gazprom, one of the companies with which negotiations were held to supply petroleum derivatives, in the presence of the Sudanese ambassador to Russia.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Energy and Oil concluded his visit to Russia today, led by a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Energy and Oil and state oil companies, and directed the technical delegation to continue discussions with Russian companies to reach an agreement under which a number of agreements will be signed in the oil fields.
