Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant-General Shams El-Din Kabbashi, was briefed the overall situation in the Blue Nile, especially the humanitarian, security and economics.
His Excellency affirmed, when meeting in his office in Port Sudan today, Governor of Blue Nile region, Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, the government’s keenness to overcome all obstacles and challenges facing the progress of the development process and the strengthening of security and stability in the state.
The meeting dealt with the security, political and economic conditions, as well as the progress of humanitarian aid operations, as a result of the repercussions of the violations practiced by the rebel terrorist militia. The meeting touched on the humanitarian and service conditions, especially since the state hosted large numbers of displaced and voluntary returnees, as well as the targeted areas for agriculture and the production position in the region.
For his part, the Governor of Blue Nile Ahmed Al-Omda said in a press statement that the meeting discusses the overall situation in the state, the extension of peace, societal security and peaceful coexistence in light of the influx of displaced people and the voluntary return.
