Ambassador Adawi reveals the number of Sudanese students studying in Egypt
The Sudanese Ambassador to Cairo, Lieutenant General Imad Addin Mustafa Adawi, praised the Egyptian press, stressing that it enjoys great symbolism in the hearts of the people of Sudan and the entire Arab world, praising its great capabilities and young cadres who always have the ability and initiative to follow up on various issues on the regional and international scene.
This came during a symposium of the Arab and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Journalists Syndicate yesterday, Thursday, headed by journalist Hussein Al-Zanati.
The Sudanese Ambassador thanked the Journalists Syndicate for hosting this meeting, especially the Arab and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Journalists Syndicate, headed by journalist Hussein Al-Zanati.
He pointed to the crimes taking place in Sudan now by the Rapid Support Forces militias and mercenaries, from killing and looting the Sudanese people, and the phenomenon of mercenaries that has returned again, referring to the militia’s approach in mobilizing mercenaries to fight the Sudanese people.
He pointed out that the militia and its supporters have disregarded all international agreements and protocols addressing the phenomenon of mercenaries, reviewing the damage caused to the production and service areas in Khartoum and agricultural and productive production in Darfur states, stressing that the violations committed by the militia and the killing of innocent citizens and the disappearance of a number of them are acts planned by foreign countries and implemented by the rebel militia.
The ambassador affirmed that the Sudanese constitutions stipulate that the armed forces are the ones who have the right to bear arms in the state and have the right and responsibility to defend the homeland and citizens, pointing out that the Armed Forces Law regulates its role in the event of confronting dangers and threats to national security and preserving the state, its identity, its citizens and their national institutions.
He expressed Sudan’s appreciation for the supportive Egyptian positions, in addition to following up on the Egyptian statements supporting Sudan and its positions in various regional and international forums, and its generous hosting of Sudanese citizens in its country.
He revealed that the coming days will witness a visit by His Excellency the Head of the Sovereignty Council, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, to Cairo, to confirm the size and depth of relations between the two countries.
He explained that the Rapid Support Militia commits many human massacres in addition to destroying the state’s infrastructure, and the militia looted Sudanese antiquities and affected agriculture and opinion by 40%, the industrial sector by 52%, oil by 21%, electricity by 31%, and education by 10%, noting that the war will end soon with the citizens standing with the armed forces, referring to the efforts of the Sudanese state in preparing the necessary studies for reconstruction, stressing that Egyptian companies are the best and most worthy of reconstruction in Sudan.
The Ambassador reviewed a number of the embassy’s plans and initiatives to develop relations, which will begin by organizing a forum between Egyptian and Sudanese businessmen during the month of November, and a media forum will be organized to enhance the media networking process between the two countries, indicating that an agreement was reached with the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian African Businessmen Association to establish a working group of elites between the two countries to come up with proposals and recommendations to be implemented during the coming period.
