Al-Burhan Back Home

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, 1st. Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, returned to the country today, after an official visit to the Eritrean capital, Asmara, which lasted one day, during which he held talks with the Eritrean President, Isaias Afwerki.
During the talks, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and prospects for strengthening them, in addition to developments in the situation in Sudan, besides discussung a number of issues of common interest.
He was received at Port Sudan International Airport by Member of the Sovereignty Council, Salah El-Din Adam Tour, Lieutenant General Mohamed El-Gali Ali Youssef, Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, and a number of ministers. Al-Burhan was accompanied during the visit by the Minister of Culture and Information, Khalid Al-Aiser, and the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.
