TSC Mourns the Sudanese Champion and World Swimmer Abdul Majeed Sultan Kijab

Head and Members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council mourn, with great sadness and sorrow the Sudanese Champion and World Swimmer Abdul Majeed Sultan Muhammad Salih Kijab, who passed away due to an illness that did not give him much time.

The Sovereignty Council, while mourning him, mourns to the Sudanese people a national hero who traveled and roamed the arenas of regional and international competitions, raising the flag of Sudan in all swimming competitions, in which he won many medals.

Kijab was a model of giving and perseverance for all athletes. His legacy will remain a source of pride and honor for all Sudanese and for future generations.

We ask God to have mercy on him and inspire his family, loved ones and admirers with patience, solace and good consolation.
To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
