Libyan government directs treating Sudanese equally to the Libyans

Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, affirmed his country’s firm position to provide the necessary support to the Sudanese people, and to stand by them until the ordeal they are going through is resolved, stressing his previous decision to treat the Sudanese as Libyans, in many services, including education.
This came during his reception at the Libyan Prime Minister’s Office, Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the accompanying delegation of Sudanese universities’ Vice-Chancellors, in the presence of Dr. Imran Al-Qeeb, Libyan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and number of officials, where Dabaiba directed the Ministries of Higher Education and Education to work on facilitating procedures related to Sudanese students and receiving them in educational institutions, besides overcoming all difficulties facing them. He also directed the Ministry of Labor to grant work permits to Sudanese university professors wishing to join the teaching staff of Libyan universities according to the actual need of the ministry, while facilitating the procedures for granting entry visas to them.
For his part, Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab conveyed the greetings and thanks of his country’s leadership to the Libyan government for all the facilities and assistance it has continued to provide to Sudanese expatriates, especially in the fields of education and health, in light of the exceptional circumstances that Sudan is going through.
