Civil Defense contains a fire at the Gedaref power plant

Civil Defense Police and the Sudanese company were able to contain a large fire in the Qarri Transmission Plant in Gedaref State, as a result of heavy rains accompanied by strong winds, which led to a fire at the main Qarri station and blackout in a number of neighborhoods in the municipality of Gedaref and local villages in the center of Gedaref.
A team from the Civil Defense in Gedaref state, led by Brigadier General Babiker Mahmoud, Director of Civil Defense Police and Engineer Ammar Fadl, Director of the Sudanese Electricity Company in Gedaref, succeeded in containing and controlling the massive fire.
