Aqar stresses the need to localize liver transplants in Sudan

Deputy Head of the Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar Ayre was briefed on the activities and programs undertaken by the Sudanese Association for the Care and Localization of Liver Transplantation.
He stressed the need to establish partnerships with the relevant authorities to localize Liver transplantation in Sudan.

He pledged, when meeting in his office in Port Sudan today, the delegation of the association headed by Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharif Muhammad Al-Hassan, to support the projects and activities implemented by the association, especially the promotion of liver health, as well as the transplantation of organs and the necessity of including it within the health insurance, in addition to capacity building in agriculture and the establishment of a national liver transplant fund for its high cost.

For his part, the head of the Liver Transplantation Association, after the meeting, said that Agar understands the role played by the association in the localization of liver transplantation in Sudan and the and programs it implemented during the war period, noting that the Deputy Head of the Sovereign Council also pledged to support all future and current projects, especially the retention of the medical staff and the establishment of steadfastness convoys and other proposed programs.
