Al-Burhan sends a congratulatory cable to the Nigerian President on the occasion of the country’s independence anniversary

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, sent a congratulatory cable to the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the occasion of the anniversary of the independence of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Al-Burhan said, “It pleases me, as your country celebrates the anniversary of its glorious independence, to extend, on behalf of the Sudanese people, my warmest congratulations and sincere wishes for development and prosperity for your brotherly people, and for you good health and happiness.”, stressing Sudan’s keenness to advance areas of cooperation with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
