RSF Assassinate Pharmacist Mutaz Sinada

The Sudanese Doctors Network said that the Rapid Support Forces assassinated pharmacist Mutaz Sanada after arresting him from his home in the Al-Manshiya suburb of Khartoum last July, and torturing him inside its detention centers in the forensic evidence offices.
The network condemned this crime, stressing that the arrests and torture carried out by the Rapid Support Forces against civilians and doctors constitute a violation of human rights and international laws.
It called on the international community to pressure the Rapid Support Forces to stop these violations.
The cousin of Motaz, Sara Sinada, posted the following:

” My cousin Mutaz Sinada was adducted by the RSF in front of his house on his way to the mosque. A pharmacist by profession, he workedat the well-known McNimir Pharmacy in Riyad, a landmark in Khartoum that Khartoumians would know and fondly remember. As a career of his elderly parents, he chose to stay in Sudan after the war because they were too old to go through the displacement journey. Even while arbitrarily imprisoned, he did his best to help others who were suffering in RSF jails. Tragically, he lost his mother while still in RSF custody, and his father had passed away a few months after the war.
We’ve now learned that he’s been dead since July. The RSF has been terrorizing those who were imprisoned with him, silencing them from revealing the deaths in their prisons. We were told the graveyards in Khartoum are full, so he was buried in the outskirts.

How can this be our reality?

The RSF’s kidnapping and abductions of civilians must be investigated, and the mistreatment and deaths in their custody need to be brought to light. These atrocities violate basic human rights. RSF must be held accountable for their crimes. Mutaz didn’t deserve this. He was a good son, a , a father to young kids and my cousin. No human deserves to go through this horror. ”
